Delmer Darion’s incredible single ‘Television’ has been provided with a visually sublime music video. The tense opening shot feels almost like a horror film as we’re dropping into a dim living room with nothing but a flickering TV for comfort; simple 808 drum patterns, haunting piano loops and distorted atmospheric sound are all we can hear. It takes well over a minute for Genevieve Dawson’s voice to join the experimental soundscape, but we’re only slightly closer to that flickering TV. The music builds in jazzy intensity until we finally reach the purple-pink of the screen, only to calm as it becomes chillingly clear that the picture on the screen is one of the room we’ve been in for the last four minutes... -Dan Peeke
